Heard both sides.
2. The prayer made in the writ petition is for renewal.
3. The petitioner is facing criminal prosecution in C.C.No.73 of 2020 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivagangai. The petitioner had already filed Cr.M.P.No.9076 of 2022 and obtained permission for renewal. The petitioner had handed over passport to the first respondent.
4. The first respondent is directed to renew the passport for a period of three years and directly send it to the Court. The Court shall keep the passport in its safe custody. C.C.No.73 of 2020 shall also be disposed of as expeditiously as possible. This writ petition stands allowed accordingly. No costs.
