Heard both sides.
2. The petitioner seeks re-issuance of passport.
3. The petitioner's passport was impounded by the first respondent. The only reason for doing so is that his involvement in Koodankulam agitation.
4. Considering the nature of offence, the first respondent is directed to return the passport to the petitioner without any delay. The petitioner of course has to give an undertaking before the second respondent that about his contact details and his readiness to appear as and when required. The first respondent on being satisfied with such an undertaking, the passport shall be returned. This writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
