PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to Re-issue Passport in favor of the petitioner by considering his application in File No.TR2075415151025 dated 30.07.2025 and based on the explanation/representation dated 14.08.2025 within a time limit stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent for reissuance of the passport by considering his application dated 30.07.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.354 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent. However, a referred charge sheet has been filed in R.C.S.No.470 of 2024 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manapparai on 19.07.2025.

3. In view of the closure of the criminal case, the first respondent is directed to consider the request of the petitioner for reissuance of passport and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
