ORDER

The petitioner, a Mini Bus Operator, has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider his request for deviation of the route in view of the construction of a Railway Over Bridge

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was provided with a permit to ply his Mini Buses bearing Reg.No.TN74E 7014 and TN74F 8636 to an extent of 4.4kms. (3.4kms.-served sector and 1km.-unserved sector). In the unserved sector, the Railway Department is constructing a new bridge and therefore, the petitioner could not ply his Mini Buses in the served sector which has been permitted to the petitioner. Therefore, the 2/4

petitioner has submitted a deviation route to ply his Mini Buses from Uttuvalmadam to Melakaruppakottai, which according to him is also an unserved sector. Therefore, he has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider his request for plying his Mini Buses from Uttuvalmadam to Melakaruppakottai and other unserved sector, in view of the construction of a Railway Over Bridge.

Considering the fact that the petitioner has made a request for providing an alternative route in the unserved sector in view of the construction of a Railway Over Bridge carried out by the Railway Department, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner and to provide an alternative route, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
