ORDER

The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to release the petitioner's TATA ACE bearing Registration No. TN-72CV-8959 from their custody on the basis of his representation dated 15.09.2025.

2. Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. Mr.S.Prakash, learned Government Advocate (crl. side) takes notice for the second respondent. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the aforesaid vehicle, which is being used for business purposes. However, the respondents seized the vehicle for statistical purposes. At present, the vehicle is kept in the custody of the second respondent, exposed to sun and rain. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 15.09.2025 seeking appropriate relief. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. The learned Government Advocates appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.09.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner.
