This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to the respondents 1 to 5 not to shift the electric connection from the petitioner's land situated in S.No.61/4A to the 6th respondent's land situated in S.No.61/5 Mathur Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.07.2025.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner and the sixth respondent are brothers. The petition mentioned property was inherited by the petitioner by way of partition deed dated 15.04.1999. However, the electricity service connection for the subject property continued to stand in the name of the 2/5
sixth respondent. Now, taking advantage of the same, the sixth respondent is trying to shift the electricity service connection from the petitioner's property in Survey No.61/4A to the sixth respondent's property in Survey No.61/5. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 08.07.2025 to the respondents seeking not to shift the electricity service connection. The said representation is kept pending without consideration. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.07.2025 on mertis and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the parties concerned within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
