Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner seeks renewal of passport. The application was put on hold because of the involvement in a criminal case.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, it is clarified by the petitioner's counsel that the FIR was quashed vide order dated 08.12.2023 in Crl.O.P(MD)No.19920 of 2023.

4. Now there is no impediment. The petitioner's passport shall be renewed by the first respondent subject to fulfilment of the other usual formalities. This writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
