ORDER

Heard Mr.SP.Vijay Nivas, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Thiruvadi Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondents 2 and 3. Since no action has been taken by the concerned respondents, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition for a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to consider his representations dated 10.05.2021 and 12.05.2021.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State has produced a copy of the letter of the Additional Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Chennai, dated 09.06.2021 before this Court today. In the said letter, it is mentioned that the allegations in the petition are general in nature and 3/6

requires verification of documents by the concerned department and Head of the Department is the competent authority to look into and act upon such petition. The said letter of the Additional Superintendent of Police is placed on record.

4. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the competent authority of the concerned department to conduct enquiry and thereafter, pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
