ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to reconsider the promotion of petitioner in the light of Rule 39(a) of Tamilnadu State and Subordinate Service Rules and promote the petitioner to the post of Forest Range Officer, who has been listed at S.No.92 in the list of Panel of foresters fit for promotion as Forest Range Officers for the year 2024-25 qualified as on 15.08.2024.

2. Heard the submission of both sides counsel and perused the materials available on record.

3. Eventhough the petitioner has sought for a positive direction seeking to direct the respondent to promote the petitioner by considering his representation dated 05.08.2025, this Court without going into the merits of the claim made in the writ petition, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.08.2025 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
