ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner's vehicle was involved in a PDS case. The petitioner approached this Court and obtained interim custody. Subsequently, confiscation was ordered. Challenging the same, the petitioner filed writ petition before this court and obtained interim stay. The writ petition is still pending. In the mean while, the validity of the petitioner's fitness certificate has expired. All that the petitioner wants is to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to hand over the same for the purpose of renewal.

3. The petitioner is permitted to approach the first respondent on 08.12.2023 at 03.00 pm. The petition mentioned documents will be handed over by the first respondent to the petitioner. The petitioner shall complete all the renewal formalities and return the documents in original to the first respondent on or before 22.12.2023. If the petitioner fails to return the documents after receiving them from the first respondent, this Court will not hesitate to initiate contempt proceedings against the petitioner. 2/4

4. The Writ Petition is allowed on these terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
