ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by an Assistant Manager of the respondent Transport Corporation, who retired under voluntary retirement scheme on 30.04.2019.

2. According to the petitioner, his terminal benefits were released only on 30.01.2021 and 15.02.2021. Hence, the petitioner has addressed a representation on 20.10.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till the date on which the amounts that were disbursed to the petitioner within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
