ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Checking Inspector of the respondent Transport Corporation, who retired under voluntary retirement scheme on 31.10.2018.

2. According to the petitioner, his terminal benefits were released only on 21.09.2019. Hence, the petitioner has addressed a representation on 20.10.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till 20.09.2019 to the petitioner within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
