ORDER

This Court, by an order dated 06.03.2025 in C.R.P(MD) No.3149 of 2024 had passed an order directing the learned Principal Subordinate Judge, Madurai, to dispose of E.A.No.1 of 2024 in O.S.No.208 of 2015 on or before 31.07.2025.

2. Alleging violation of the orders of this Court, the present contempt petition has been filed by the first respondent in the Civil Revision Petition. According to the learned counsel appearing for the contempt petitioner, the learned Judge, has neither disposed of E.A.No.1 of 2024 nor sought extension of time. The Registry listed the matter under the caption " for maintainability" before this Court.

3. This Court sought for explanation from the concerned Judge for the non disposal of E.A.No.1 of 2024 to ascertain reason for the same. He has sent an explanation to this Court on 05.12.2025 to the effect that E.A.No.1 of 2024 can be disposed of within a period of two months.

4. In view of the above said facts, the objection raised by the Registry with regard to the maintainability of the contempt is hereby sustained. However, the learned Principal Sub Judge, Madurai, is hereby directed to dispose of E.A.No.1 of 2024 on or before 05.02.2026. It is made clear that no further extension of time would be granted. 2/4

5. With the above said observation, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
