ORDER

This petitioner is accused in C.C.No.104 of 2024 on the file of the Additional District Judge / Presiding Officer, Special Court EC Act Cases, Thanjvur. By judgment dated 20.05.2025, he was found guilty, convicted under Section 8(c) read with 20(b) (ii) (B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 7 years with a fine of Rs.50,000/-, and in default, to undergo 1 year rigorous imprisonment. As against the conviction and sentence imposed by the trial Court, this petitioner has filed an appeal before this Court in Crl.A(MD)No.1086 of 2025 and the same has been admitted by this Court on 20.05.2025. Along with the appeal, the petitioner has filed this petition to suspend the sentence. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of 17.320 kgs ganja on 08.06.2024 at about 9.30 hrs at Nallukadai Bus Stop, Paruthikottai and he was arrested and sent to judicial custody.

3.When this petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner has involved in five other cases relating to NDPS Act, apart from this case. 4.It appears that the petitioner has not disclosed his involvement in other cases. Therefore, this court is not inclined to entertain this petition. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
