COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent police to provide police protection in order to enable the petitioners to put up compound wall in their property situated at Survey Nos.35/13 and 35/14 in MGR Nagar, Kumbakkudi Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District. 2.When these writ petitions came up for hearing on 06.12.2024, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the bundle has already been handed over to the petitioners and change of vakalat has also been given. In view of the same, this Court directed the names of the petitioners to be printed in the cause list. Accordingly, the name of the petitioners has been printed in the cause list and there is no appearance on the side of the petitioners.

3.The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that the property over which the petitioners are seeking to put up a compound wall is a Government property and therefore, the police 4/6

cannot give protection to the petitioners to put up such a construction. 4.In the light of the specific stand taken by the respondent police, the relief as sought for by the petitioners cannot be granted by this Court and accordingly, all these writ petitions stand dismissed. 12.12.2024 NCC :
