Prayer: This Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to upload the petitioner's TET 2013, paper-2 Eligibility Test Certificate (TNTET Paper-II) for the petitioner's Roll No.13TE03205774 within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a candidate who appeared for TNTET examination paper -II in the year 2013. 1/4

2.According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner had appeared for the said examination and had secured 82 marks which is a pass mark. However, the certificate has not been issued by Teachers Recruitment Board.

3.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Teachers Recruitment Board had pointed out that the petitioner had passed B.Sc.,(Physics) in the year 1999 and M.A.(History) in the year 2003. Thereafter, the petitioner had passed B.Ed., degree in the year 2005. In the year 2011, the petitioner had undergone B.A.History which is one year Course. Thereafter, the petitioner had appeared TNTET examination in the year 2013 and has chosen her optional subject as Social Science. Therefore, according to the learned counsel for the respondent, the optional subject chosen for TNTET examination is based upon invalid one year degree namely B.A.History degree. Hence, the qualifying certificate was not uploaded. 4.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the writ petitioner that the petitioner had chosen Maths and Science as her optional paper in TET examination and it was not based upon one year B.A.History Course. However, the learned counsel for the respondent is not in a position to verify what was the optional subject chosen by the writ petitioner while appearing for TET examination 2013.

5.In view of the above said facts, this writ petition is disposed of with the following order:

(i)The authorities are directed to verify Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Paper of the writ petitioner and if the petitioner had chosen Maths and Science as her optional subject, they are directed to upload the Teacher Eligibility Test Qualifying Certificate of the writ petitioner. (ii)If the petitioner has chosen Social Science, they need not upload such a certificate.

(iii)In case, if the petitioner is qualified and there is a delay on the part of the respondent in uploading the certificate, the same may be received by the TRB manually even beyond the prescribed date. No costs. 08.12.2023.
