call for the records in respect of crime No.51 of 2025 on the file of the 1st respondent police and quash the same in so far as the petitioners concern. For R2-5 : Mr.T.Lenin Kumar COMMON ORDER The Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.(MD).Nos.17772 and 17735 of 2025 are filed to quash the FIR in Crime Nos.50 and 51 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent Police, which was filed for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(2) and 351(2) of BNS, 2023. 1.1. The Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.17773 of 2025 is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.54 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent Police, which was filed for the offences punishable under Sections 191(2), 296(b), 115(2) and 351(2) of BNS, 2023 and Section 4 of TNPWH Act, 2002. 5/8

1.2. The Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.17774 of 2025 is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.53 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent Police, which was filed for the offences punishable under Sections 191(2), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1) and 351(3) of BNS, 2023.

2. The defacto complainants in Crl.O.P(MD) Nos.17772 and 17774 of 2025 are siblings. The defacto complainants in Crl.O.P(MD) Nos.17735 and 17773 of 2025 are relatives. The accused in one is the defacto complainant in another case. The allegation primarily is that on account of prior enmity, on 28.08.2025, the first accused in Crl.O.P(MD) No.17735 of 2025 knocked the door of the defacto complainant's house and when the same was questioned by the defacto complainant, the accused persons attacked the defacto complainant, scolded her in filthy language and threatened her of dire consequences; that on account of the said incident, the subsequent FIRs have been lodged.

3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent in all cases belong to the same village and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memos, dated 17.10.2025.

4. The petitioners and the second respondent in all cases are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.M.Koothaperumal, Sub Inspector of Police, Kottaipattinam Police Station, Pudukkottai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIRs pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime Nos.50, 51, 53 and 54 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent Police, dated 28.08.2025 and 30.08.2025 are quashed and the Criminal Original Petitions stand allowed. The joint compromise memos, dated 17.10.2025 shall form part of this order.
