O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed by the Secretary of a Cooperative Society seeking a mandamus as against the respondents for disbursal of his terminal benefits.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the writ petitioner had attained superannuation on 31.07.2014 and he was permitted to retire, by an order, dated 31.07.2014. However, the terminal benefits were not released, in view of the pendency of C.C.No.1 of 2015 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Trichirappalli. Though the petitioner was convicted, he was released on probation, by an order, dated 01.08.2019.

3. The petitioner has given a representation to the respondents on 13.06.2022, citing the order of the criminal Court and sought for the disbursal of the terminal benefits.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

5. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to consider the said representation in the light of the order of the criminal Court and pass orders conferring eligible benefits upon the writ petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
