Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the respondent to provide pension to the petitioner under Destitute Widow Pension Scheme, by considering her application No.TN-9520240918126 dated 18.09.2024 within the period stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent to provide pension to the petitioner under Destitute Widow Pension Scheme, by considering her application No.TN-9520240918126 dated 18.09.2024.

2. A perusal of the screenshot of the web portal of the respondent reveals that the Destitute Widow Pension had been approved for the petitioner on 18.09.2024.

3. In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the respondent to release the Destitute Widow Pension to the petitioner and also pay arrears from the date of approval and also the respondent shall continue to pay the subsequent Destitute Widow Pension as eligible to the petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
