Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2025 either to trace the petitioner original documents that was lost on 03.03.2025 or to issue a "Non Traceable Certificate" in respect of the documents in Doc.Nos. 986/2013 and 123/1986 on the file of Joint II Sub Registrar Office, Karur, which are the parent documents of the petitioner's residential house property vide Doc.No.80/2015 on the file of Joint II Sub Registrar Office, Karur within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court. 1/4

ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the second respondent to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2025 either to trace the petitioner's original documents lost on 03.03.2025 or to issue a "Non Traceable Certificate" in respect of the documents in Doc.Nos.986/2013 and 123/1986 on the file of Joint II Sub Registrar Office, Karur, which are the parent documents of the petitioner's residential house property vide Doc.No. 80/2015 on the file of Joint II Sub Registrar Office, Karur.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that if the petitioner complies with all the requirements, the respondents would consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with the Circular issued by the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, Chennai, in Rc.No.2029209/General.1(1)/2022, dated 01.04.2022 and communicate the decision taken on the said representation within a period of four weeks.

In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and communicate the decision taken thereon to the petitioner within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
