(Order of the Court was made by C.V.Karthikeyan, J.) This petition has been filed by a brother complaining that his sister, who is aged about 24 years and is married and also has a child, aged about 3 years old, has been missing on and from 12.09.2025. In this connection, he had lodged a complaint, consequent to which, FIR in Crime No.939 of 2025 has been registered on 24.09.2025 by the Thuraiyur Police Station under the provisions of "woman missing and boy missing".
2. However, it has now been informed by the respondent/Inspector of Police, Thuraiyur Police Station that the lady, who is said to be missing, had given a complaint before the Commissioner of Police, Trichy that she had voluntarily left the marital house owing to a dispute with her husband. Thereafter, she had also lodged a complaint with the All Woman Police Station at Musiri in Trichy. Copy of that particular complaint had also been produced before this Court by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
3. The detenue had been produced before us along with the child. The petitioner is not present. But, however, her husband has come to Court. She is not prepared to go with her husband. She complains of series of torture at the hands of her husband including her hand being broken by her husband. She had given away all the jewels to her parents to hand it back to her husband. She stated that she would take care of herself and her child by seeking employment. She is also represented by a counsel and we are confident that the learned counsel would provide her with proper and good advise.
4. Since the detenue had been secured along with the child, no further orders are required in this petition. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
