The present writ petition has been filed by a B.T Assistant Teacher, who is a Subscriber of New Health Insurance Scheme seeking a Mandamus as against the respondents for expeditious disbursement of his claim for medical reimbursement.

2. According to the petitioner, he had suffered heart attack and he got admitted to a private hospital at Coimbatore and underwent surgery and took treatment between 02.02.2019 and 06.02.2019. According to the petitioner, he had incurred a sum of Rs.7,77,551/-. The petitioner has submitted all his records to the Block Educational Officer for seeking medical reimbursement. He in-turn had forwarded the said records to the second respondent herein on 21.08.2023. So far the second respondent has not taken any decision on the said proposal. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the papers forwarded by the Block Educational Officer on 21.08.2023 relating to the medical reimbursement of the writ petitioner and pass appropriate orders. In case if the petitioner is found eligible, the papers may be forwarded to the fourth respondent for further action within a period of eight
(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6
4. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
