ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by an Assistant Engineer (O&M) of Pudukkottai EDC working in TANGEDCO seeking a Mandamus directing the respondents to extend the wage revision benefits and revise the petitioner's basic pay on par with other provisionally selected candidates, who were recruited through Notification No. 01/2018.

2. As per the representation, though his name was not included in the selection list or in the waiting list, in view of the orders passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.13092 of 2019, the petitioner was issued with an appointment order. Now, the petitioner seeks to get advantage of the pay revision granted to other employees who were selected through the same notification. To the said effect, the petitioner has given a representation on 01.11.2023 to the respondents herein. Since the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner, dated 2/4

01.11.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
