PRAYER :-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to grant emergency leave of 3 days to the petitioners son namely Karunakaran, S/o. Nadarajan (Convicted prisoner No.651352), who is a life convict now confined in Central Prison, Trichy to attend his father's 11th day death ceremony scheduled to be held on 29.09.2025 and 30.09.2025 based on the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by P.VELMURUGAN,J.) The writ petition has been filed for a writ of mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to grant emergency leave of 3 days to the petitioners son namely Karunakaran, S/o. Nadarajan (Convicted prisoner No. 651352), who is a life convict now confined in Central Prison, Trichy to attend his father's 11th day death ceremony scheduled to be held on 29.09.2025 and 30.09.2025 based on the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025.

2. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation of the petitioner has been considered and the 3rd respondent has rejected the same on 26.09.2025.
4. In view of the above, since the 3rd respondent has already considered and rejected the representation of the petitioner seeking leave for two days on 29.09.2025 and 30.09.2025, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out her remedy in the manner known to law, if she is aggrieved by the rejection order.
