O R D E R

By relying on release deed dated 19.04.2018 and Patta No.99 in respect of land Survey No.226/14, the petitioner had applied online for the conduct of a survey. The present writ petition relates thereto.

2. Mr.P.Thambidurai, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for respondents1 to 3 and Mr.S.Prakash, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), accepts notice for the fourth respondent. Learned Government Advocate submits that notice would be issued to owners of adjoining lands and action would be taken after considering their objections, if any.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second and third respondents to initiate action on the petitioner's request for survey after issuing notice to owners of adjoining lands and considering objections, if any, from them. For the avoidance of doubt, it is clarified that the survey should not be carried out if there is a title dispute, whereas boundary disputes may be decided by the second and third respondents. The entire process shall be concluded within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If necessary, the revenue officials may take the assistance of the jurisdictional police. No costs.
