This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 12% per annum, for the period of delay from the petitioner's date of retirement (30.04.2024) to till the date of reimbursement (25.08.2025) of amount paid towards the petitioners terminal and pension benefits namely EPF Employees Contribution, Gratuity, Encashment of Earned/Sick Leave and other monetary benefits within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court, without affecting the petitioner's right to claim balance amounts towards those benefits.

2. Considering the admitted fact that there has been a delay in payment, the petitioner is entitled to statutory interest as provided under law.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would restrict his claim of interest at the rate of 6% per annum.
4. In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated terminal benefits payable to the petitioner from the date of his entitlement till the date of his payment within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
