ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and provide him compassionate appointment.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner's elder son, who was employed as a Peon in the second respondent Office had met with an accident and passed away on 25.12.2001. An application has been submitted within a period of three years seeking compassionate appointment for the brother of the deceased employee. On 11.10.2023, the first respondent has forwarded the said request to the second respondent. So far the second respondent has not passed any orders. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the request of the petitioner in the light of the letter, dated 11.10.2023 of the first respondent herein and pass orders on merits and in accordance with 2/4

law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
