ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to release vehicle i.e. taras lorry bearing registration number TN 25 T 1575, which was seized by the respondent in Cr.No.548 of 2025 within the stipulated time. 1/4

2. According to the respondent, the vehicle was found in suspicious circumstances of indulging in sand theft.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has a valid permit and no offence has been registered so far and the respondent illegally retaining his lorry bearing registration No.TN 25 T 1575.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that an enquiry was conducted and further action was dropped; and that the vehicle would be returned to the petitioner forthwith.

5. In view of the aforesaid submission, the respondent is directed to return the petitioner's vehicle bearing registration No.TN 25 T 1575, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
