Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to return the auction deposit of Rs.32,000/- back to the petitioner, with interest of 6% from the date of deposit i.e., 16.11.2017, in the light of the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2023, within a time frame, as fixed by this Court. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to return the auction deposit of Rs.32,000/- to the petitioner, with interest of 6% from the date of deposit i.e., 16.11.2017, in the light of the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2023.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a representation on 12.07.2023 for return of auction deposit of Rs.32,000/- to him, with interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of deposit i.e., 16.11.2017. However, the same is yet to be considered. Hence, the Writ Petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be disposed within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.07.2023 and dispose of the same, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
