ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents 2 to 4 not to harass the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 24.09.2025.

2. It is a case of the petitioner that she is a street vendor; that the 4th respondent is continuously harassing her although the petitioner holds a valid identity card issued by the Cumbum Municipality.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on 03.09.2025, the Commissioner, Cumbum Municipality, had issued directions to the Inspector of Police, Cumbum South Police Station, to remove encroachments in the streets and hence, the petitioner cannot accuse the respondents of harassment.

4. In view of the above submissions, this Court is of the view that no such directions can be issued as prayed for. If the petitioner is aggrieved by any action initiated by the Municipality, it is open to her to challenge the same in the manner known to law.
