ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) This petition for extension of time is misconceived. Vide order dated 18.07.2025, this Court had disposed W.P.(MD)No.8033 of 2020, wherein the prayer was for a mandamus to direct demolition of unauthorized construction put up by the present petitioner in T.S.No. 75/1A2A and T.S.No.75/8, Perumalpuram, Palayam Kottai. 2/5

2.Though a period of eight weeks was granted to Tirunelveli Corporation to do the needful in terms of demolition, the work is only 50% completed as on date. The learned counsel for the petitioner further states that it is the petitioner, who is carrying out the demolition and he requires further time.

3.We are most disinclined to extend the time at the behest of the petitioner. It is the Commissioner of Tirunelveli Corporation, who has been specifically directed to carry out demolition and as on date, there has been no compliance within the time frame fixed by this Court. Hence, the directions to the Commissioner of Tirunelveli Corporation are reiterated, stipulating that the needful be done within a period of four weeks from today (29.10.2025).
