ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash C.C.No.254 of 2007, on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.IV, Tirunelveli.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 12.09.2007 at 10.00 a.m., the accused persons assembled in the Main Road, opposite to Malai Murasu Office, Tirunelveli Junction and raised slogans against the State Government and demanded not to demolish the Ramar Bridge and thereby, caused nuisance to the public, though they were aware of the fact that prohibition under Section 144 Cr.P.C. was in force. Against which, the respondent police filed a complaint and after investigation, he filed a charge sheet in C.C.No.254 of 2007 before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.IV, Tirunelveli.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that C.C.No.254 of 2007 was closed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Tirunelveli, on 23.06.2015, invoking the powers under Section 258 Cr.P.C. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Recording the abovesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To 1.The Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Tirunelveli.
