Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to remove the unauthorized and illegal encroachment made by someone on the water body poromboke and grazing poromboke land situated Kurunthangudi Lake in S.Nos.31/2A, 35/1B, 34/1E, 37/2E and S.No.2/3 having in extent 3 acres situated at Kaavanar village, Kaanadu, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District adjacent lands having extent of nearly 15 acres based on the petitioner' representation dated 04.08.2025 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. ORDER

None appears for the writ petitioner. Heard the learned Special Government Pleader for the official respondents.

2. The sixth respondent herein had filed W.P.(MD)No.29581 of 2025. The said writ petition was disposed of by us in the following terms:- "2.The petitioner is a resident of Pakkam Village. He alleges that in the petition mentioned survey numbers, there are encroachments. He wants the same to be removed. He submitted representation and since it was not considered, this writ petition has been filed. 2/5

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submits that S.No.1 has been classified as water body S.No.2/3 has been classified as communal grazing ground. 4.Both are poramboke and encroachment thereon would definitely come under objectionable category. The fifth respondent is directed to take action in respect of the encroachments in both the survey numbers. The statutory procedures shall be adhered to. The encroachers shall be given due opportunity of hearing. If encroachment is confirmed, it shall be removed. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

3. The learned Special Government Pleader clarifies that S.Nos.31/2A & 35/1B are patta lands. As regards S.No.2/3, we have already issued the direction. Hence, no further order is required in this writ petition. The writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
