O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to complete the preliminary enquiry and gave adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb on the basis of the compliant, dated 21.11.2023. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is an accused in Crime No.231 of 2023 which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 352, 506(ii) of IPC and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002. Thereafter only, the representation was made by the petitioner seeking police protection.

3.The petitioner is facing charges under Sections 294(b), 352, 506(ii) of IPC and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002. Hence, he is not entitled for police protection. He can workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings.
