Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to convene general body meeting by giving due notice to the members and conduct a free and fair election and to elect new office bearers of the Masjide Noor Muslim Jamath, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District within a time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to convene general body meeting by giving due notice to the members and conduct a free and fair election and to elect new office bearers of the Masjide Noor Muslim Jamath, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the members of the Jamath may be permitted to conduct elections and the Writ Petition may be closed with liberty to conduct elections by the Jamath. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

3. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is closed with liberty as prayed for. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
