O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to pay 6 percent for the belated payment of Terminal Benefits such as P.F, Gratuity, Leave salary and Commutation amounts payable to the petitioner from the date of his retirement i.e on 31.03.2024 to till the date of actual payment made to him i.e 15.04.2025/22.05.2025/07.08.2025 and 25.08.2025.

2. Considering the admitted fact that there has been a delay in payment, the petitioner is entitled to statutory interest as provided under law.

3. In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the belated terminal benefits payable to the petitioner from the date of his entitlement till the date of his payment within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
