O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired Junior Engineer from the Public Works Department seeking a mandamus as against the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for notional promotion with effect from the year 1997.

2. The petitioner herein with regard to the above said request, has sent a representation to the 2nd respondent on 06.11.2023 seeking promotion with effect from the year 1997. Only on 20.11.2023, the said representation has been received and acknowledged by the 2nd respondent. Since no order has been passed, the present Writ Petition is filed.

3. Considering the above stated facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a 2/4

period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
