ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The prayer sought for in the present Writ Petition is to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal proceedings in Na.Ka.No.D4/843/2023, dated 15.11.2023 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2.It is not in dispute that notice under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act') was issued and on receipt of objections from the alleged encroacher, the order under Section 6 of the Act was passed. However, the encroachers preferred an appeal under Section 10 of the Act before the 1st respondent on 07.11.2023, which is pending. Thus, the 1st respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed under Section 10 of the Act as expeditiously as possible and subject to the orders to be passed in the appeal, further actions are to be initiated by the competent authorities. 2/4

3.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
