ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by an Assistant Professor, who is working in the third respondent College seeking a Mandamus as against the first respondent to effect promotion to the post of Associate Professor.

2. The second respondent has published a panel on 30.06.2023 for promoting Assistant Professors as Associate Professors. The name of the writ petitioner is arrayed as serial No.15 in the panel. The panel is now pending before the first respondent for his approval and passing orders relating to the promotion of the writ petitioner. The petitioner has sent a representation to the first respondent on 22.11.2023 seeking expeditious approval of the said panel and for granting promotion. Since the said request has not been responded, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to consider the request of the petitioner based upon the panel forwarded by the second respondent, dated 30.06.2023 and pass orders within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
