ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners for grant of old pension under the TamilNadu Pension Rules, 1978 as per the representations of the petitioners dated 05.03.2025 and as per the proceedings of 1st respondent in Letter (3pa) No. 02 dated 08.03.2023 to the Director of Finance & Internal Audit, Chennai-35 directing sanction of old family pension.

2. Even though the petitioners have sought for a positive Mandamus, it is seen that the petitioners have made representation on 05.03.2025 for the very same relief.

3. In view of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' representation dated 05.03.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
