ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Usilampatti, to expedite the trial in CC.NO. 75/2022 and dispose the same in a speedy manner within a specific time frame stipulated by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the 2nd accused in the C.C.No.75 of 2022 in Crime No.12 of 2020, for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(ii) of IPC. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case was registered in the year 2020, and same was taken cognizance in the year 2022, so far no progress is made in the trial process.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the respondent police is ready to co-operate to complete the trial process within the time stipulated by this Court.

4.In view of the submissions on either side and considering the oldness of the crime, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial 2/4

Magistrate No.II, Usilampatti, to expedite the trial process and dispose of the same within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
