ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a pensioner seeking a Mandamus as against the respondents herein for considering her medical reimbursement under the Medical Attendance Rules.

According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner had incurred medical expenses of Rs.7,01,725/- (Rupees Seven Lakh One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Five Only) for installation of Heart IPG Pacemaker at a private hospital in Madurai on 19.07.2023. Since the said treatment was not covered under the Health Insurance Scheme for pensioners, the petitioner has given a 2/5

representation to the respondents 2 and 3 herein to consider his request for reimbursement under the Medical Attendant Rules on 22.08.2023. Since the said request has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondents 2 and 3 herein are directed to consider the request of the writ petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
