2.The petition mentioned documents were refused registration on the ground that the property covered under the settlement deeds belongs to Arulmigu Renganatha Swami Temple. Refusal check slips were issued to that effect. Challenging the same, the present writ petitions came to be filed. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, it is noted that the properties that are comprised in Old S.No734/2 corresponding to New T.S.No.2554 and 4/6

they were acquired way back in the year 1949. Award was also passed on 28.11.1951. In these circumstances, the very basis on which the impugned refusal check slips have been issued stand undermined. They are quashed. The petitioners are permitted to re-present the documents. They shall be received, registered and released by the third respondent subject to fulfilment of other usual formalities.
