ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by the wife of an employee of the respondent Transport Corporation seeking a Mandamus for conferment of interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits.

2. According to the writ petitioner, her husband who was a Driver, had died while in service on 11.10.2022. His terminal benefits were released only on 30.05.2023. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation on 29.06.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits.

3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till the date of disbursal within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
