Today, this case is listed under the caption for "Extension of Time for Trial Court".

2. It is evident from the records that this Court, vide order dated 10.01.2024, directed the Special Court for trial of cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Tiruchirappalli, to dispose of the case within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order. Subsequently, at the request of the learned Special Judge, time was extended thrice granting three months time.

3. Now, the learned Special Judge submitted a requisition dated 16.10.2025 through the learned Principal District Judge, Tiruchirappalli, stating that application under Section 91 Cr.P.C. filed by the defence is pending and the case posted for further defence evidence.

4. Considering the reasons assigned and also taking note of the period already granted, this Court is inclined to grant two months further time to complete the trial and dispose of the case as directed by this Court. 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
