Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the petitioner's name from History Sheet Opened in History Sheet No.128/2014 on the file of the 3rd respondent based on the representation dated 26.09.2025 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the respondents to remove the petitioner's name from history sheet opened in History Sheet No.128/2014 on the file of the third respondent based on the representation dated 26.09.2025.

2. The gist of the representation is that a history sheet has been opened against the petitioner and the same is still pending, though several cases against the petitioner have already been disposed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation would be considered by taking into consideration the guidelines issued by this Court in the case of Thirumagan Vs. The Superintendent of Police and another reported in 2020 SCC OnLine Mad 6675 within a period of four weeks.

4. Recording the said submission, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025 by taking into consideration the guidelines issued by this Court in Thirumagan's case (cited supra) and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
