PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.445/2014 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/ A2, who was arrested and remanded judicial custody on 30.01.2020 for the offences punishable under Sections 147,148,120(b), 506(ii) and 302 of IPC in Crime No.445 of 2014, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. Earlier the petitioner was arrested and released on bail. Thereafter the 1/4

petitioner did not appear before the trial Court, hence Non Bailable Warrant was issued on 31.07.2018. The petitioner was arrested on execution of Non Bailable Warrant on 30.01.2020 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is regularly appearing before the trial Court on all hearing dates and due to covid-19 pandemic situation he was unable to appear, due to which Non Bailable Warrant came to be issued and the petitioner was remanded to custody pursuant to the execution of Non Bailable Warrant on 30.01.2020.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposing the bail petition would submit that the petitioner is absconding for nearly two years and with much difficulty the respondent police secured the petitioner. Further, 17 previous are pending against the petitioner and he is a history sheeted rowdy element and if the petitioner is released on bail, he may abscond again. Further in this case trial commenced and five witnesses have been examined 5.Taking into consideration the gravity of offence and also taking note of the previous bad antecedents of the petitioner, earlier petition in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.8832 of 2023 was dismissed by this Court with a direction to the trial Court to complete the trial within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.Now the trial process is going to be over. Hence, absolutely, I find no reason to entertain this petition. The trial Court namely the learned III Additional District Judge, Thanjavur @ Pattukottai, shall complete the trial process in S.C.No.136 of 2017 pending on his file, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
