ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Kuzhithurai, Kanyakumari District to complete the trial in C.C.No.539 of 2023.

2. This Court is of the view that the time frame cannot be fixed for disposal of the case. The Honourable Supreme Court has repeatedly held that time frame cannot be fixed for disposal of the case. It is not in dispute that several older cases are pending before the very same learned Judicial Magistrate.

3. Hence, this Court cannot issue any direction as prayed for. However, considering the fact that the occurrence is said to have taken place in the year 2022, the learned Judicial Magistrate may consider the expeditious disposal of the case.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
