ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Server / Cleaner of the respondent Transport Corporation, who attained superannuation on 31.05.2022.

2. According to the petitioner, his retirement benefits were released only on 31.05.2023. Seeking interest for the belated payment, the petitioner has sent a representation on 17.11.2023. Since the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondents 2 and 3 herein are directed to grant 6% interest to the writ petitioner from the due date till 30.05.2023, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
