PRAYER: Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondents herein for the deliberate and wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 21.03.2025 in WP(MD)No.6020 of 2025 amounting to Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.

ORDER

The petitioner with a grievance that the terminal benefits due to him have not been settled by the respondents has filed WP(MD)No.6020 of 2025 before this court and this court by order dated 21.03.2025 has disposed the writ petition as follows:

"8.Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to pass orders on the proposal sent by the third respondent in R.C.No. 204/2024/A1 dated 14.03.2025 to settle the terminal benefits to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondents are directed to take steps to disburse the terminal benefits to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter. There shall be no order as to costs." 2/5

2.The petitioner has filed a contempt petition that the above orders of this court has not been complied with.

3.The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents by referring to the written instructions provided by the Director and Treasuries and Accounts (FAC), Chennai dated 05.02.2026 submits that the petitioner has been furnished with the eligible amount as under: CPS Authorization Number Amount Settlement Date UTR Number Ref No.2991868/CPS/2025 dated 24.04.2025 Rs.4,13,092/- 13.11.2025 RBISH00145986556 Ref No.2991868/CPS/2025 dated 07.01.2026 Rs.7,12,630/- 03.02.2026 RBISH00335580191 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner has disputed the amount arrived at by the respondents.
